June 4, 2007Microsoft adCenter Direct Mail...and That's All I Need
Microsoft is promoting adCenter, its pay-per-click service, with a great direct mail piece and a special offer for $100 in free clicks for 5 clients and 60 days of free support (the piece is targeted towards search marketers, it seems, more than in-house buyers). The packaging features "Search Master Steve" (totally unrelated to Grandmaster Flash), and the paddle ball game is branded as Search Master Steve's Smack-a-Goal Paddle Game: "See how many times you can hit your clients' paid search goals!" A nice effort, but can they compete with Google's clever promos? Let the (paddle ball) games begin!
