Japanese Promos: Reusable Shopping Bags

Japan is a fairly densely populated group of islands without a whole lot of natural resources, so it's not surprising that they're really advanced when it comes to stuff like recycling. However, they are also really into nice packaging (after all, they do sell fruits in wooden gift boxes). The question is, will reusable shopping totes take off? My guess is yes, particularly now that even China has banned disposable plastic bags.
