February 17, 2009Post-election Obama Promo Merchandise
I just wanted to post, albeit a little late about a couple cool promos that the Obama campaign came out with post-election. One is this four-year calendar, which I thought was pretty clever - but why not an eight-year calendar?

The other was this Obama logo winter hat. In both cases, Obama - ever the team player - was selling these items to fundraise for the Democratic National Committee. And why not? The stronger he can make the party as a whole, the better they are likely to do in mid-terms and four years from now when he is running for re-election. I'm sure many businesses could use this technique of riding out the momentum of a campaign to achieve new goals, whether leveraging marketing done for a product launch, or paying more attention to post-trade show follow up.
