I just came across this great article about the power of free giveaways in a weak economy. The article explains how many companies use promotional freebies to entice frugal customers and separate themselves from competitors.
In a down economy most people are on a budget and more selective about where they shop. Looking for a way to tip the scales in your favor? Give customers something for free! You don't have to spend a fortune either - even something simple like a free sample is often enough to seal the deal. Be creative, have fun, and always remember that everyone loves free stuff!
