Aquent Beach Ball

Here's a cute promo done by Aquent, a custom beach ball to promote their pool of talent. Very clever guys! I actually used to work for them. I can also say that one thing they used to do and probably still do, is purchase promos centrally to ensure they meet brand guidelines. I think this was important as they were going from a niche staffing agency to an international company that's probably the largest of its type in the world.

The Bigger the Better: Giant Lego Guy

If you're looking for some high-impact outdoor advertising, the bigger the better. And this giant Lego guy is really big. He's also wearing a "shirt" that says "No Real Than You Are." Make of it what you will, he has these kids eating out of his oversized, cylindrical hands.

Beach Branding

Promos on the beach are hot this summer, with everything from beach umbrellas and promotional towels to beach bags and flip flops. One guerilla advertising firm even suggested "advertising messages delivered in bottles left on the beach by street teams posing as mermaids is another possibility." I would venture to argue that finding a message in a bottle, then realizing it was advertising, would be a bit of a disappointment, but I'm pro-mermaid.
