I finally got done setting up our Halloween products and got around to buying an overpriced Halloween costume yesterday, and came across this fundraising promotion when I got to the checkout counter. The cashier gave me the option of adding an extra dollar to my purchase in exchange for one of these imprinted wristbands. The money goes to The Spirit of Children, which is a program that “helps make hospitals less scary for kids and their families by providing fun during Halloween and funding all year long to Child Life Departments within children’s hospitals.”
