To promote these changes, eBay turned this Madrid subway station into the world’s largest classified ads bulletin board! Instead of posting up the usual flyers and business cards, pictures of real classifieds ads from eBay were pasted to the wall. This big ambient promotion quickly gets people to associate eBay with classified ads instead of the typical eBay auctions. Plus, there are few better places to get exposure than a crowded subway.
