Creative Clam Promo Targets Beachcombing Seafood Lovers

This clever promo washed up on the beach in Mumbai, India, where giant fake clam shells were left on a popular beach. Inside each clam is an advertisement for a seafood restaurant. The tagline reads “Looking for seafood?” While most promotional products tend to be useful items, this one shows how you can actually execute a successful promotion using a product without any intrinsic usefulness. They key here is that the promotion is visually very striking and the location, item and message all work together seamlessly. I’ve seen some buzz generated around this promotion online, and I can only imagine how much great word-of-mouth promotion it generated locally. (via How Advertising Spoiled Me)
